Changes to the Windows 7 Start Menu

In Windows 7, a number of changes have been made to the  Start menu:

• Windows 7 uses Jump Lists instead of the Recent Items menu option.  When you locate a program from the Start Menu, you may see a right arrow.  If you hover over this arrow, you get a jump list—a list of recently used files opened by that program.
• Windows 7 uses Libraries as well as folders.  A library is not just a physical location on your hard drive; it can include multiple folder locations on your hard drive, as well as folders on external drives and network drives.  Your default libraries are Documents, Music, Pictures, and Videos, but you can create your own libraries for special projects, committees, etc.
• Windows 7 has a Search built into the Start menu.  Use search to find programs, folders, and even email more quickly.
