Word: Moving Paragraphs Around

Three key strokes let you easily move paragraphs around in Word documents:

1. Place your cursor anywhere in the paragraph you intend to move.

2. Next, press and hold these two keys: Alt + Shift

3. Then, press the up or down arrow to move your paragraph in either direction.

Each time you press the arrow key (while holding Alt + Shift), your entire paragraph moves up or down one paragraph. To move something quickly past multiple paragraphs, simply hold down the arrow key until you reach the desired spot in your document.
