Add Sort to Your CAT Search URLs

In addition to the basic search features that you may have used to embed CAT searches into your web pages you can now include a sort attribute in the string to produce the result list sorted by Title, Subject or Author by adding the string &sort by=XX to the end of your search url string where XX stands for TI, SU, or AU, as appropriate to your search.

For example, a search for all items in the MontAlto DVD collection sorted by title would look like this:

http://cat.libraries.psu.edu/uhtbin/cgisirsi/x/0/0/5?searchdata1=&location=DVD-MA&sort_by=TI
